The Phipps Drama Council and Children’s Theater Council will host an open house at 7 p.m. Monday, April 21, for anyone interested in volunteering for future community theater or children’s theater productions at The Phipps Center for the Arts.
The Phipps Children’s Theater annually mounts four productions. This spring, the council is staging an adaptation of the fantasy “Tuck Everlasting.”
The Drama Council of The Phipps Center annually produces four main stage shows, which include comedies, musicals and dramas. The community theater will stage the ’50s musical “Grease” this summer.
A tour of the main stage, Black Box Theater, control booths, scene shop, prop rooms, costume room and other areas will be included. Volunteers who have worked on Phipps productions will be on hand to answer questions and explain what goes on during a show.
This open house is to encourage new volunteers to get involved. All those with a love for the theater and a willingness to work with others should attend this gathering, and bring along a friend.
For more information, call The Phipps at (715) 386-2305.
