Orchestra concert is Monday
The Hudson School District orchestras will join with the St. Croix Symphony Orchestra for a concert at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, in the Hudson Prairie Elementary School gym.
The Hudson School District orchestras will join with the St. Croix Symphony Orchestra for a concert at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, in the Hudson Prairie Elementary School gym.
The fourth- and fifth-grade orchestras, under the direction of Britt Severson and Jack Young, will perform pieces alone and with the St. Croix Symphony. The Hudson Middle School sixth-grade orchestra will play “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and the seventh-grade orchestra will perform “You Raise Me Up.”
The St. Croix Symphony, directed by Dr. Kristen Tjornehoj, will perform Brahms “Hungarian Dance #5” and “Russian Sailors Dance” from the opera “The Red Poppy.” The concert will end with all ensembles playing “Fantasy on America.”
Admission is free.
