The Federal Aviation Agency is investigating two fatal plane crashes in south central Wisconsin.
Each killed one man around dinnertime Monday. The first crash happened about 5 p.m. near the Brodhead airport in Green County.
The second took place just after 5:30 p.m. north of New Lisbon in Juneau County.
The pilots were the only ones on board. Their names were not immediately released.
In the first crash, witnesses saw an amateur-built, single-engine plane slam into a field next to the privately-owned Brodhead airport.
The FAA reported a local flying pattern.
The second plane was a crop-duster that went down in the Juneau County town of Clearfield. The 55-year-old male pilot died later at a Mauston hospital.
