A Hudson man has been charged with multiple felony counts of sex assault involving a woman with brain injury.
The charges were filed in St. Croix County Circuit Court May 8 against Gregory L. Drinkwine, 57, 369 Brookwood Dr. and include four counts of sex assault, one count of intentionally subjecting an individual at risk to abuse and intentional abuse of a patient.
His initial appearance was set for May 27 before Judge Eric J. Lundell at 1 p.m.
The criminal complaint alleged Drinkwine had sexual contact with a 25-year-old female patient at Community Living Specialists, a family group home, at 469 Stageline Rd., Hudson.
The complaint said the woman suffered from a traumatic brain injury stemming from a car accident in November 1997 and a guardian has been appointed to handle her affairs. She had a physical exam March 5, 2007 and told the doctor she had had sex with Drinkwine.
Drinkwine was employed at the Hudson facility from 1998-2000 and from 2002-2006. Community Living Specialists was a licensed facility from April 17, 1997 to Feb. 28, 2007.
