Vault pushed back due to rain, girl thinclads lead regionals

The Raider girls track team was leading the River Falls regional going into the pole vault — which had been rescheduled for Tuesday because of rain – an event in which they are favored.

The girl team had advanced athletes to sectionals in every event except the 100 hurdles and long jump. All three relays also go on.

“They had an outstanding day considering the conditions,” said Coach Jami Holum. “They went in and did what they needed to do at this point in the season to advance to the sectional. They are excited to be going into that meet.”

It is set for Thursday at Eau Claire North, starting with field events at 4 p.m. and running events at 4:30 p.m.
