CITY OF HUDSON: ORDINANCE NO. 3-08

Pursuant to its authority under Wisconsin law, including, but not limited to, its authority to act in the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare, the Common Council of the City of Hudson hereby ordains as follows:

1. Hudson City Code Section 124-8 B, regarding Direct Sellers, Transient Merchants and Solicitors, shall be amended to add paragraph C as follows and to re-letter existing paragraph C to be paragraph D.

C. Registration shall be denied if the applicant is delinquent in payment of any taxes, assessments, forfeitures for violations of city ordinances, or other claims owed to the City.

2. Hudson City Code Section 184-2 F, regarding Pawnbrokers and Secondhand Dealers, shall be amended to add the following paragraph (c):

( c ) The applicant has no outstanding delinquent taxes, assessments, forfeitures for violations of city ordinances, utility bills, or any other claims owed to the City.

3. Hudson City Code Section 220 - 4, regarding Taxicabs, shall be amended to add the following paragraph D:

D. No license shall be issued if the applicant is delinquent in payment of any taxes, assessments, forfeitures for violations of city ordinances, utility bills, or any other claims owed to the City.

4. Hudson City Code Section 96 -1 B , regarding Amusement Devices licenses, shall be amended to add the following sentence at the end of the paragraph:

No license shall be issued if the applicant is delinquent in payment of any taxes, assessments, forfeitures for violations of city ordinances, utility bills, or any other claims owed to the City.

5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective upon passage and publication as required by law.
