A Hudson man accused of sexually assaulting a woman with a brain injury made an initial appearance in St. Croix County Court last week.
Gregory Lynn Drinkwine, 57, 369 Brookwood Dr., posted a $10,000 signature bond May 27 on six felony charges including four counts of second degree sex assault and one count each of intentionally subjecting an individual at risk to abuse and intentionally abusing a patient.
The criminal complaint alleged a March 8, 2007 report to the Pierce County Dept. Of Health and Human Services said that a 25-year-old female patient had been sexually abused by a former staff person while residing at Community Living Specialists, a family group home in Hudson. The incidents took place in February and March 2006.
A preliminary hearing was set for June 16 at 1:30 p.m.
The report said the woman suffered from a traumatic brain injury resulting from car accident in Nov. 1997.
The criminal complaint said the charges stemmed from a physical exam on March 5, 2007 and an the victims allegations that she had sexual intercourse with Drinkwine, who was a staff person at the facility form 1998-2000 and 2002 to 2006.
