Wisconsin News
It’s almost unbearable for survivors to keep seeing the house in Crandon where Tyler Peterson killed six people last fall.

It’s almost unbearable for survivors to keep seeing the house in Crandon where Tyler Peterson killed six people last fall.

So the duplex will be torn down June 21.

A public prayer vigil will be held the night before.

A memorial is expected to be put on the site at some point.

For now, Pastor Bill Farr of the Fountain of Youth Memorial Committee says the house will be demolished, and the pieces will be buried in a landfill.

They talked about burning it, but the committee could not get the required approvals.

The house was owned by the parents of Jordanne Murray, whose shaky relationship with Peterson preceded the killings.

Murray, Aaron Smith, Bradley Schultz, Lianna Thomas, Lindsey Stahl and Katrina McCorkle were all at Murray’s homecoming party when Peterson stormed in and started firing.

The victims’ parents spurred a fundraising effort to buy the duplex so it could be removed.

The committee’s Sue Hill says it’s is hard for the victims’ relatives to see and it’s important to them to have it gone.
