In 2008, Kevin Burkart completed 100 skydives in one day to raise money for Parkinson's Disease.

On June 16, he attempted to shatter his previous record by jumping 200 times in one day.

Burkart's father was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1999. This inspired him to use his talent at skydiving to raise awareness and funds for the disease. Each dive was sponsored by an individual, group or company.

The jumps started late due to fog. Burkart had planned to begin jumping at 2 a.m., but his first jump wasn't made until after 10 a.m. Despite the delay, he was able to achieve 150 skydives on Wednesday. Burkart's turn-around time, from landing to landing, was a little over three minutes. Each time Burkart went up in the plane, an announcer broadcasted the sponsor of the jump.

A documentary film crew was on-site as well, filming Burkart.
