Booster Days set July 2-6

The annual Hudson Booster Day celebration begins Wednesday, July 2 and continues through Sunday, July 6.

Most events are Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will include many of the traditional favorites.

Among the highlights is a Second Street parade on Saturday, July 5 beginning at 11 a.m. and fireworks that night at dusk (note that the fireworks are Saturday, July 5). There will be live entertainment near the beer garden Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Other events during the three days include food, bingo, kid’s contests, hot dog eating contest (kids and adults), kid’s entertainment and more. A carnival will open Wednesday evening, July 2 and close at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 6.

Except for the parade, all events are planned for Lakefront Park.

Proceeds from Booster Days are used by the Hudson Boosters to sponsor many community youth activities, including Booster baseball, softball, football and the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Other events occurring in and around Booster Days are a free concert by the Minnesota Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. in Lakefront Park Monday, June 30 and the 2008 Miss Hudson pageant at the Hudson High School Auditorium Thursday, July 3 beginning at 7 p.m.
