Dear Editor,
Shame on you Star Observer! Your article regarding the Knoll brothers is alarming and unprofessional. What was your staff thinking? Is this type of personal medical information salient? What public interest is served by disclosing this information?
I live overseas and was emailed by a friend that a classmate had died. Greg was not a friend but I knew him and his brother socially. I was shock by to read that personal medical information was written in the Star.
Growing up in Hudson like any small town was not always exciting but the town gossip seemed to make life a little more interesting. You heard the normal stories i.e. who was beating their wife, who was having an affair, who was pregnant outside of wedlock, who had had an abortion, etc. Is the Star Observer going to start reporting on these matters as well? What information is appropriate for the well being of the community?
I don’t know if Greg and Jeff were good or bad men. That is not for me to judge. It is clear they were struggling with their personal demons. Who amongst us has not? Let the family, friends and the concerned individuals deal with such personal information.
People that live in glass houses should not throw stones.
