Phipps holds one-week ballet class
A one-week ballet session for intermediate and advanced students age 12 and older will be offered by Marcia Keegan on Monday – Friday, July 21 – 25, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. each day, at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson.
A one-week ballet session for intermediate and advanced students age 12 and older will be offered by Marcia Keegan on Monday – Friday, July 21 – 25, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. each day, at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson.
Previous pointe experience is highly recommended. If a student does not have pointe experience, soft shoes will be worn for exercises. Students will take part in a variety of classes including ballet, pointe, strengthening, and repertoire. The week will culminate with a studio demonstration/performance.
Keegan is currently teaching dance for the Minnesota Dance Theatre and The Dance Institute. She received her training from Hy Somers, Jo Savino, and Frank Boarman. In Cannes, France, she danced and trained with Rosella Hightower.
