Nine people were cited in a two-hour period last Wednesday afternoon in Lakefront Park, all for alcohol-related violations.

The Hudson Police Department has officers in the park undercover this summer. The violations included both possession of alcohol in the park and underage consumption of alcohol. There were also two arrests for probation violations.

Chief Marty Jensen said officers saw violators attempting to bury beer cans in the sand as officers approached. The chief said the department will continue to patrol and monitor activity in the park and surrounding area for violations.
