Children needed for ‘Beauty & Beast’
Auditions for the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre original musical production of “Beauty & the Beast” is from noon-3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at the Meyer Middle School auditorium, 230 N. Ninth St. in River Falls.

Up to 75 local children, ages 7 through 16, are needed to play a variety of roles and must stay the entire audition time. A $25 participation fee is required ($15 for River Falls Community Theatre members).
Rehearsals are 12:30 to 4:45 p.m. the same week — Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 5-7, and from 3 p.m. until curtain time Friday, Aug. 8.
Performances are 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the middle school auditorium in River Falls.
Handling auditions and show direction are Prairie Fire actor/directors Hayley Rice and Kevin Hoffman. Rice will also be performing the role of Serafina, Queen of the Gypsies and Hoffman will play the role of the Beast.
Tickets are $4 and will be available at Lighthouse Coffee the week of Aug. 4, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the school auditorium Aug. 5, 6 and 7, and at the door prior to each show.
