As part of a nationwide observance, St. Croix Marina is celebrating the seventh annual National Marina Day Saturday from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

“National Marina Day is an annual celebration of the important role marinas play in waterfront communities all across America,” said St. Croix Marina General Manager Jeff Holmes.

“Each day, this country’s marinas serve as safe, family-friendly gateways to boating and stewards of the environment. We hope you will visit St. Croix Marina’s Web site, learn about your communities’ marina and consider ways to become part of the marina family.”

St. Croix Marina’s National Marina Day activities include:

  • A member’s picnic with live music, food, fun and spirits;

  • Coloring contests and children’s activities;

  • Safety and educational sessions; and

  • A chance to discuss relevant issues with State Sen. Sheila Harsdorf, State Rep. Kitty Rhoades and other local dignitaries.

    “Now, more than ever, Americans need clean, safe and relaxing locations at which to spend their leisure time,” Holmes said. “National Marina Day reminds our customers and our community that St. Croix marina is a local, environmentally friendly destination serving as a gateway for family and friends to enjoy one of America’s great natural resources, its waterways.”
