Kenseth finishes 12th at the Glen

Matt Kenseth of Cambridge finished 12th Sunday in NASCAR's Centurion Boats race at Watkins Glen, N.Y.

Kenseth regained the 12th and final spot in the season-ending Chase for the Nextel Cup with four races before it begins.

He's now 22 points ahead of Clint Bowyer in the point standings.

Paul Menard of Eau Claire was 28th and he remains 28th in the point totals.

Travis Kvapil of Janesville finished 36th at the Glen and he fell one spot for the year to 23rd.

Former series champion Bobby Labonte was treated and released from a hospital after a nine-car crash marred the final laps.

Kyle Busch won his eighth race of the year, to stay atop the Sprint Cup standings.
