Dear Editor,

The first thought that entered my mind when I saw the new school logo was “trendy.”

It seems there is an attempt to prove that the Hudson School District is completely on top of what is going on in the world — we are global, yes we are.

I’d like to suggest that doesn’t happen through a logo. It happens through what the school district produces — students prepared to go out into the world and do/go whatever/wherever their dreams wish for.

Hudson schools have a long history of exchange students, strong curriculums and high standards/goals. We also have a long history of students that have gone on to work internationally. We all know the world is smaller than it used to be — we don’t need a logo to tell us that.

Hudson — a bridge to lifelong learning: This says it all, regardless of any particular decade’s buzz words. Our current logo is classic and timeless.

The resources that would be used to change the logo in a school district this size are more wisely spent in the classroom.
