Letter: Pettee is good officer

Dear Editor,

I wish people would get all the facts before sitting in judgment!

1. Detective Pettee has been an exceptional officer for quite some time.

2. Everyone makes mistakes, granted some are worse than others, but we all make them.

How many times have you worked a 14-hour shift? That’s two shifts back to back. I know the only thing on my mind on my way home would be my pillow.

Where did you hear the doors were unlocked, or was that just some mis-information? If the council would allow the police to hire more officers maybe the good men and women we have wouldn’t have to put in so many hours.

Hold your head high, Shawn. You’re a good man and an excellent detective. I, for one, appreciate all you’ve given our citizens.
