UW-Extension-St. Croix County staff and volunteers are facilitating a free seven-week series “Strengthening Families” from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 7-Nov. 18 (not Nov. 4), at Hudson Middle School, 1300 Carmichael Road.

The sessions are designed to increase parenting skills, help youth develop skills in handling peer pressure and help families grow together.

The sessions also encourage families to have fun. During the first hour, parents and youth meet separately with their facilitators. During the second hour, parents and youth meet together as a family for a planned activity.

Child care is available for younger siblings ages 4 and older if arrangements have been made prior to the program.

For more information, or to register, call UW-Extension at (715) 684-3301, ext. 5; state if special accommodations are needed.
