Letter: Delegate loved Hudson

Dear Editor,
I was one of the more than 150 people who enjoyed a lovely day in Hudson last week as part of the Wisconsin delegation to the Republican Convention.
Most of those in our group have driven past Hudson hundreds of times on the freeway and never visited your downtown. Everyone I talked to was so impressed with your beautiful downtown and riverfront, the great shopping (I spent a bundle!) and the remarkable restaurants.
Our day of sightseeing and shopping in Hudson was a welcome tourist day during the busy convention.
I appreciate the efforts of Rep. Kitty Rhoades, Mayor (Dean) Knudson and the city staff, the police department, Kim (Heinemann) and her staff at the Chamber and all the volunteers and Hudson people who made us so welcome.
We saw your beautiful city at its finest and I know that I and many others will never drive by Hudson again without stopping.
Thanks to everyone for a wonderful day!
