Voter forum planned
Area voters are invited to meet and question candidates for three state legislative seats during a forum set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. The forum — which will involve candidates for the 10th Wisconsin Senate District and the 29th and 30th Assembly districts — will be held in the lower level of the River Falls Public Library, 140 Union St.

Audience members will be invited to submit written questions on state-level issues.
Moderator for the evening is Don Davis, Hudson, who is bureau chief of the Forum Communications Minnesota Capitol Bureau.
The candidates who will participate in the event are:
State Senate, 10th District: Sheila Harsdorf, Republican from River Falls, and Alison Page, Democrat from River Falls.
Assembly, 29th District: Chris Buckel, Democrat from Hammond, and John Murtha, Republican from Baldwin.
Assembly, 30th District: Sarah Bruch, Democrat from Hudson, and Kitty Rhoades, Republican from Hudson.
The forum is sponsored by RiverTown Newspaper Group (Hudson Star-Observer, Pierce County Herald, New Richmond News and River Falls Journal) and the River Falls branch of the American Association of University Women.
