Cyclocross race, Sunday, Oct. 5, to fill downtown park

The Hudson Riverfront Cyclocross Race – a fund-raiser for the Hudson Fire Department – is this Sunday, Oct. 5. Registration and race course open at 10 a.m. for practice and 15 minutes between races.

Registration is at the Lakefront Park bathhouse, just north of the band shell in Lakefront Park.

  • The C race begins at 11 a.m. in four categories: CX4 men, CX4 women, CX juniors (ages 15-18) and CX juniors (10-14).

  • The B race begins at noon for CX men, CX open masters 45-plus men, and CX open women.

  • The A race begins at 1:30 p.m. for CX 1/2 men and CX 1/2/3 masters 35-plus men.

    Entry fees are $25 for adults, $5 for juniors. Cyclists must wear an approved helmet.

    A kids rodeo is at 1 p.m. for youth 10 and under. This event is free, but parents must sign a waiver. Youth over 10 pay a $5 USCF fee. A Hudson Fire Department truck will be onsite with free giveaways.
