Hudson police officer is disciplined

According to Hudson Police Department Chief Marty Jensen, Detective Shawn Pettee has been disciplined in connection with the August theft of his service weapon and police identification from his unmarked squad car while it was parked at his residence.

According to Hudson Police Department Chief Marty Jensen, Detective Shawn Pettee has been disciplined in connection with the August theft of his service weapon and police identification from his unmarked squad car while it was parked at his residence.

Jensen said the discipline followed an internal investigation but he did not release the specifics of the action taken by the department.

Attempts by the North Hudson Police Department, the department where the theft took place, to recover the property with "no questions asked" were unsuccessful.
