RF library lists free entertainment
The River Falls Public Library, 140 Union Street, is holding a series of free events in conjunction with its current gallery exhibit, “Between the Wars: The 1920s and ‘30s,” a display of artifacts and information running through Oct. 26.
The River Falls Public Library, 140 Union Street, is holding a series of free events in conjunction with its current gallery exhibit, “Between the Wars: The 1920s and ‘30s,” a display of artifacts and information running through Oct. 26.
Local country music crooner Stuart Page will play “My Father’s Music,” a program of popular tunes from the 1920s and ’30s, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23.
The library will also show Depression-era movies:
The life and times of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald will be the subject of a lecture by Minnesota author John Koblas at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15.
Koblas is the author of “A Guide to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s St. Paul,” a reference to more than 100 places associated with the writer in his native St. Paul. Copies of the book will be for sale.
