Marion M. Van Someren, 75, of Hudson died peacefully Monday, Oct. 6, at Comforts of Home in Hudson.

Marion was born June 15, 1933, in Roberts, the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Pooler) Wasson.
She attended school in Roberts before meeting her soon to be husband, Dale Van Someren.
The two were married on November 12, 1955, at the Roberts United Church of Christ.
Marion enjoyed life. She enjoyed the simple things, a beautiful flower or garden and the harmony of a beautiful piece of music. She also enjoyed artistic work and trying her hand at painting and/or drawings. Being active in the community, with the Phipps Center, both as occasional performer and board member, and as emergency medical technician for the city of Hudson were her fondest endeavors.
Marion will always remain in the hearts of her son, Bruce; brother-in-law, Howard Murphy, Baldwin; sister-in-law, June Blodgett of Florida; nieces and nephews, Lucille (Charles) Ramshaw of Mt. Horeb, Diane (Jerry) Gibbons of Pequot Lakes, Minn., Pat (Fred) Klenke of Hager City, Sharyl (Steve) Kittilson of River Falls, Leslie (Patricia) Dahm of White Bear Lake, Minn., Warren Wasson of Florida and Howard (Rosann) Dahm of Cottage Grove, Minn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale; parents, Roy and Nellie (Pooler) Wasson; brother, Warren Wasson Jr.; sisters, Agnes (Seymour) Dahm and Irene (Howard) Murphy.
A time to reflect on the life of Marion Van Someren was Friday, Oct. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
Burial was in Baldwin Cemetery with her family serving as active casketbearers.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Marion’s family.
Funeral services were entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson and Baldwin.
