An NBC-Mason-Dixon survey has the Illinois senator up by 12 points over Republican John McCain, 51-39 percent.
The other poll is from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. It has Obama up by 15 points at 51-36.
In eight independent polls this month, Obama had an average lead of 11.
NBC political director Chuck Todd said on “Meet the Press” Sunday he still wondered why McCain is still campaigning somewhat in Wisconsin.
The Badger State was considered a battleground but it’s been a week and a half since either McCain or Obama has paid a visit.
