VILLAGE OF NORTH HUDSON: RESOLUTION NUMBER 2008-10

RESOLUTION REQUIRING VILLAGE EMPLOYEES TO MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL COVERAGE

The Board of Trustees of the Village of North Hudson, Wisconsin, at a meeting held this 6th day of November, 2008, hereby adopts the following resolution:

WHEREAS, the Village of North Hudson provides medical and dental insurance coverage for non-represented eligible employees; and

WHEREAS, the Village of North Hudson has experienced considerable increases in the costs of these insurance plans, and

WHEREAS, the Village of North Hudson can no longer bear the increased costs for these plans without some contribution from the eligible employees, and

WHEREAS, the Village of North Hudson has previously agreed with its represented employees for a cost sharing plan for medical and dental insurance costs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of North Hudson amends the coverage for eligible non-represented employees as follows:

Non-represented eligible employee medical and dental coverage:

1. Effective January 1, 2009 all non-represented employees will be required to make contributions for medical and dental coverage consistent with the following schedule:

2009 -- 2% of total medical and dental premiums

2010 -- 4% of total medical and dental premiums

2011 -- 6% of total medical and dental premiums

2012 -- 8% of total medical and dental premiums

2013 -- 10% of total medical and dental premiums

2. Above contributions will be deducted from the employee’s paychecks on a pre-tax basis subject to compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
