Light Up Night marks the official opening of the holiday season in Hudson. Santa and some of his elves are scheduled to arrive in downtown Hudson around 7 p.m. Friday night to visit with children along Second Street.
The event comes to town courtesy of many downtown and Hudson area businesses and organizations and the city of Hudson. In addition to Santa’s arrival and the official lighting of Hudson’s holiday decorations, the evening will include music, refreshments and special events for children and shoppers.
At Moppets on Main children can come in and create an ornament.
The evening will also include face painting at Kelley Galleries from 6-8 p.m., along with hot chocolate and cookies. Carols will be provided by members of the Hudson High School choirs.
Santa will also make a stop on Saturday, Nov. 29, from noon-5 p.m. at Kelley Gallery. He will be downtown in his very special indoor sleigh at his Hudson home at Kelley Frame and Fine Art Gallery from 1-5 p.m. Dec. 7, Dec. 13-14 and Dec. 20-21. His visit is sponsored by Kelley’s and Lavender Thymes. A photographer will be available on selected dates. Contact Kelley Gallery at (715) 386-4112.
