The executive director of a Hudson adult care facility has been charged with felony sexual assault of a resident.
Carolyn Ann Lopez, 30, 494 Prairie Lane, Hudson, was ordered to post a $5,000 cash bond Thursday on one count of second-degree sexual assault during her initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court.
The criminal complaint alleged that between April 21 and Sept. 30, Lopez had intercourse with a 56-year-old male patient at Heartview Inc. in the town of Hudson on numerous occasions.
Lopez, who is owner and director of the facility, told investigators she had kissed the patient twice but had not had sexual intercourse with him.
Court records said the patient was diagnosed with mental illness and chemical dependency problems.
A preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 12.
