Friday, Nov. 28

Light Up Night, Santa arrives in downtown Hudson, 7 p.m., with some of his elves. Evening includes music, refreshments and special events for children and shoppers. Family event. Also kickoff for holiday dessert competition at area restaurants.

Saturday, Dec. 13

Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer at MR Convenience, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. MR is located at I-94, Exit 4, one block north on Hwy. 12.

Through Dec. 31

A Gift by the Hand holiday sale at The Phipps Center, 109 Locust St.

Friday, Dec. 5

  • Candlelight Stroll, special events, carriage rides and carolers along the candlelit streets of downtown, 6-9 p.m. Geared to more adult audience. Also art show at Dania Hall, 511 Second St.

  • Octagon House Light Up Night, lamp-lit tours of the house, 1004 Third St., with music and refreshments. Also includes guided tours of the Phipps Inn across the street and the John Lee house at 1319 Fourth St. Tickets for sale at Octagon House that night.

  • Cookie decorating and holiday fun at Vine Street Bridge Club, 7-8:30 p.m., at Bridge for Youth with Disabilities, Presbyterian Church, 1901 Vine St.; open to public; refreshments served; (715) 381-8230.

    Phipps Holiday Art Fair, Dania Hall, 511 Second St., Friday, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

  • Santa and his reindeer, Lakefront Park, noon-4 p.m. – bring camera. Family event includes children’s activity tent, horse-drawn wagon rides and Phipps Center art activity, 1-3 p.m. Also, holiday art sale all day at Phipps.

  • Santa and Mrs. Claus, at Bridge For Youth with Disabilities, Presbyterian Church, 1901 Vine St., 9:30 a.m.-noon; for all ages; public is invited; holiday games also; (715) 381-8230.
