Dania Hall houses Phipps art fair

The Phipps Center for the Arts’ third annual Holiday Art Fair is scheduled Friday, Dec. 5, 5-9 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., in Dania Hall, 511 Second St., in downtown Hudson.

The Phipps Center for the Arts’ third annual Holiday Art Fair is scheduled Friday, Dec. 5, 5-9 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., in Dania Hall, 511 Second St., in downtown Hudson.

The fair will feature over 10 artists offering a range of work for holiday gift-giving, including Pauly Cudd (blown glass), Theodore Horn (photography), Linda Bonine (handmade jewelry using vintage pieces), Lana Sjoberg (fleece hats), Nora Dombrock (prints and fused glass jewelry), Layl McDill (polymer clay figures), Abigail Allan (clay sculpture), Stuart Johnson (pottery) and Patricia Bagstad (beaded jewelry).

The art fair is held in conjunction with Holidays in Hudson, with several activities throughout downtown Hudson on these days including a candlelight stroll with carriage rides and carolers on Friday evening, and Reindeer in the Park with a visit from Santa on Saturday. Also on Saturday, from 1-3 p.m., The Phipps is hosting a free holiday art activity under the direction of River Falls artist William Ammerman.

Throughout the art fair, “A Gift by the Hand,” the annual holiday sale of handmade items by local and regional artists, will be open in the Gift Gallery of The Phipps Center, 109 Locust St.
