AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF HUDSON, WISCONSIN (Re: Secondhand Articles and Jewelry)

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF HUDSON, WISCONSIN

In the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the purpose of bringing Hudson City Code into conformity with State law, the Common Council of the City of Hudson hereby ordains that §184-6 A (2) and (3) shall be amended to read as follows:       

(2) Any secondhand article purchased or received by a secondhand article dealer shall be kept on the secondhand article dealer’s premises or other place for safekeeping for not less than twenty-one (21) days after the date of purchase or receipt.

(3) Any secondhand jewelry purchased or received by a secondhand jewelry dealer shall be kept on the secondhand jewelry dealer’s premises or other place of safekeeping for not less than twenty-one (21) days after the date of purchase or receipt.

This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication as provided by law.
