The focus of a holiday party hosted by J&L Steel & Electrical Services along with Ascent Companies was the presentation of a $10,000 check to Grace Place shelter Dec. 16. Grace Place offers emergency housing and other support to people in transition.

“We are very excited to present this gift to the shelter; we believe in supporting our community,” said LouAnne Reger, CEO of Ascent Contracting.

The event was hosted at Towerview Business Center, built by Ascent Companies earlier this year. It offers leased office and warehouse space in the St. Croix Business Park. The evening included live holiday music, catered hors d’oeuvres and a coach bus tour of holiday lights.

Guests included St. Croix Business Park tenants, representatives from Grace Place, leaders of J&L Steel and Electrical Services and Ascent Companies.

J&L Steel and Electrical Services and Ascent Companies are new residents of the Hudson area. Company spokespersons say they look forward to many years of supporting the community.
