Girls youth league set

The St. Croix County YMCA and the Hudson Girls Basketball Association HGBA) are teaming up to offer a Winter Basketball League for girls ages 4-12. Leagues will begin Jan. 10 with a one-day player clinic, which will be conducted by the Hudson High School Girls Basketball Coaching Staff.

Focus of the league inlcudes teaching basic basketball fundamentals, and consists of one weekday practice each week with skills competitions and games each Saturday. Each player gets a team tee shirt and will also receive an end end-of-season evaluation with feedback on areas to focus on.

The cost is $32 for YMCA members, $24 for YMCA Metro members and $64 for program participants. To receive an application, stop by the YMCA or go to www.hudsongirlsbasketball.org. The signup deadline is Jan. 5. For more information contact Trevor Kodesh, 715-386-1616.
