With only incumbents filing candidacy papers for seats on the Hudson City Council and Hudson Board of Education, it appears there will be no contests in this year’s spring election April 7.By: Meg Heaton, Hudson Star-Observer
With only incumbents filing candidacy papers for seats on the Hudson City Council, it appears there will be no contest in this year’s spring election April 7.
Randy Morrissette II will be unopposed on the ballot in District 1. Scot O’Malley in District 5 and Alan Burchill in District 6 also have filed for re-election.
School board
There are three seats open on the Hudson Board of Education. All three incumbents are seeking re-election. No challengers filed by the 5 p.m. Tuesday deadline.
The incumbent candidates include:
Van Loenen was elected last spring to complete the last year of the term of former board member Tracy Habisch-Ahlin. A term on the school board is for three years.
