Scene study class offered

Peter Moore will offer a four-week scene study class from 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2-23, at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

Peter Moore will offer a four-week scene study class from 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2-23, at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

Scene work and monologues will form the basis of the workshop for actors of all experience levels. Aspects of working professionally, such as auditions, agents and finding work, will also be explored.

Moore has worked for 30 years as an actor and director. His local acting credits include the Guthrie, Mixed Blood, Park Square, Illusion, Chanhassen and History Theatres.

He has performed off Broadway in New York as well as with Detroit’s Meadow Brook Theatre, the Virginia Stage Company, Florida Stage, Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach and the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Feature films include “Factotum,” “The Cure,” “Carousel of Revenge,” “Overnight Delivery,” “Trauma,” “Rose Red” and numerous television commercials.

Among his credits as a director are the Guthrie, the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami, San Diego Rep and other Twin Cities theaters.
