Seth Stanchik dominated the game from start to finish, according to the Chippewa Falls coach, ending with 39 points and being unfazed by all the things Chippewa tried to do to stop him.
In the final quarter, Hudson outscored Chippewa 22-4 and went on to what became an easy 73-56 win. It wasn’t quite that smooth sailing in the middle two periods, however, as Chippewa had the upper hand by a total score of 38-29. The Cardinals rode their three-point shooting, making 10 treys to five for Hudson, who relied on Stanchik’s muscle inside for things such as power layups.
Guard Nate Roeder added 15 for the Raiders, and Ben Gresmer chipped in eight and Connor Wenzel six. Hudson was 14-19 at the free throw line.
The Raiders play host to Eau Claire Memorial on Friday, Jan. 23 and Menomonie next Tuesday, Jan. 27. Both are 7:30 p.m. games.
