In week of close games, girls baketball team splits with Menomonie, RF

Jamie Lindstrom canned three baskets in each of the second and fourth periods. She finished with a team-leading 15 points, as Hudson held off a late Menomonie rally. Hudson had built their lead by holding Menomonie to six points in the second.
The Raiders sent Menomonie to the free throw line 21 times, and they hit 15. Hudson was 7-10.
The Raiders also rebounded from a slow first half when playing host to River Falls, then scored 18 points in the third period – four more than in the first 16 minutes.
Hudson then added 17 in the fourth quarter, where Morgan Zabel’s three baskets matched her total for the rest of the game. That led to Hudson holding a tenuous lead late in the game vs. River Falls, then seeing it slip away at the end for a 55-49 loss.
Kaitlyn Haag led the way for Hudson with 14 and the Raiders shot 50 percent from the floor.
The Raiders also lost a Saturday contest to Henry Sibley 55-32, and lost again Tuesday, Feb. 3 to Rice Lake by a score of 45-47.
They will host Eau Claire North this Friday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m, then travel to Chippewa Falls on Thursday, Feb. 12. Game time is also 7:30 p.m.
