Davis Drewiske skating with the Los Angeles Kings
Hudson native Davis Drewiske was called up to join the Los Angeles Kings National Hockey League team on Monday. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound defenseman is a 2003 graduate of Hudson High School.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound defenseman is a 2003 graduate of Hudson High School. His parents are David and Karen Drewiske of the town of Troy.
Drewiske was signed by Kings as an unrestricted free agent last April after completing his final year of eligibility with the University of Wisconsin-Madison men’s hockey team.
The Kings assigned him to the Manchester, N.H., Monarchs of the American Hockey League. He appeared in the Monarchs’ final five regular-season games of 2007-8 and four post- season games.
Drewiske was with the Monarchs for 46 games of the 2008-09 season. He had one goal and 11 points with the Monarchs this season and was tied for second on the team with a plus-4 rating.
The 24-year-old skated with the Kings for the first time Tuesday night at Ottawa, Canada. The Kings defeated the Senators 1-0.
The Kings have a 21-21-7 record in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. They play their home games in the Staples Center, which also is home to the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers Nation Basketball Association team.
