Daniel Quinn, left, head of loss prevention for the Mills Fleet Farm store in Hudson, displays a Citizen Commendation award he received at the Feb. 2 meeting of the City Council.

Quinn kept a suicidal man in Watertown, Minn., on the phone while Hudson police officer James Wildman, right, contacted Minnesota authorities, who went to the man’s residence and took him into protective custody. The man was being investigated for check fraud.

Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said Quinn’s quick thinking saved the man’s life.
