Dear Editor,

The holidays are long past as is Valentine’s Day – now what to do with the out-of-date hand-held electronics that have been replaced with new ones?

Cocker Spaniel Resources Inc. is having a recycling drive to help save the groundwater and landfills. Our recycling drive began Feb. 15 and will end March 15. The next drive will be June 15-Aug. 15.

We had a very successful drive last summer and are ready to take more ink and toner cartridges plus hand-held electronics. We will collect cell phones, digital cameras, ipods, PADs, Blackberries, tape recorders, pagers, palm pilots and other hand-held electronics. We take all models and makes, regardless of working condition. Phones must be deactivated and personal information deleted prior to donation.

The Leitch Agency, Highview Kennels and Croix Valley Veterinary Hospital have agreed to collect electronics for us. For more information on how your company, business or group can help, call (715) 222-9532. Receipts for your electronic donation will be available at the collection points.

Cocker Spaniel Resources is a public charity under tax Code 501(c)(3) of the IRS. Its mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, re-home and retire cocker spaniels and cocker spaniel mixes for the states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota.
