Frances Snell, 100
Frances May Snell, 100, of Hudson, and formerly of Circleville and Roseville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. She was born the daughter of Sylvester “Arthur” and Edith L. Stanley in Watertown, Ohio, on Jan. 26, 1909.
Frances May Snell, 100, of Hudson, and formerly of Circleville and Roseville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.
She was born the daughter of Sylvester “Arthur” and Edith L. Stanley in Watertown, Ohio, on Jan. 26, 1909.
She earned her teaching degree from Ohio University.
Frances was united in marriage to John B. Snell on June 2, 1935. They would be blessed with a son, John, and a daughter, Virginia.
Frances taught grade school for 35 years with the Roseville, Ohio, School District. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and bingo, being a grandmother, and a baseball fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and a brother.
Frances is survived by her son, John S. Snell of Hollywood, Calif.; a daughter, Virginia (David) Yeager of Maple Grove, Minn.; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
Arrangements were entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory.
