Bob was born to Raymond and Jean (Beggs) Miller on Sept. 23, 1922, in Hudson. Bob attended school in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School.

Bob later attended the University of Indiana for two years while in the service. Bob had an extensive career with the railroad, working for both the Chicago Northwestern and Union Pacific lines. Bob retired from the railroad in 1982 as a signal supervisor.

Bob was united in marriage to Mary Margaret Wink on April 6, 1942, at a ceremony in Belvidere, Ill., while Bob was serving in the Army. Bob was later deployed to the European Theatre, where he would serve his country during WWII. Their union in marriage would be blessed with a daughter, Carol. After 52 years together, Mary would precede Bob in death on Nov. 8, 1994.

Bob would later be united in marriage to Eunice (Simpson) Williamson on Jan. 8, 1998, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson.

If you knew Bob, you knew that he was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan. A personally autographed photo of coach Bud Grant was among one of his most prized memorabilia items. With Bob, you also knew that he was a loyal Democrat who loved to keep up on current events, as well as the stock market.

Bob also had a special place in his heart for Christmas and enjoyed the holiday season. Bob was charismatic and loved to have a good time amongst family and friends alike. He was always a good host and loved entertaining at his cabin on Yellow Lake. Many people had the privilege of sharing good moments and great laughs with Bob. Those moments and Bob will be missed by many.
