Dear Editor,
Trent Blinkman last week (March 5 Star-Observer) wrongfully alluded to Congressman Ron Kind supporting the Omnibus spending bill.
Kind rightfully voted against this bill, against his own party. A spending bill with nearly 9,000 earmarks and higher taxes on Wisconsin industries is not in our best interest. Haven’t we lost enough jobs here yet?
I suspect Kind also is disappointed the president is not living up to the promised “new era of honesty and responsibility.” Do we not recall the promise then-candidate Obama made to us stating all spending bills would be available online beforehand for five days? Heck, the Democratic leadership didn’t even give their own party enough time to read the entire bill before bringing it up for a vote. Am I one of the few who see a lack of leadership, and blatant dishonesty, coming out of the White House?
