TOWN OF ST. JOSEPH: NOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED ORDINANCE

Re: Ordinance No. 2008-4, titled Roads, Driveways, Trails, Erosion and Sediment Control and Right of Way Construction

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on March 5, 2009, the Town of St. Joseph enacted Ordinance No. 2008-4, titled Roads, Driveways, Trails, Erosion and Sediment Control and Right of Way Construction. This ordinance amends the Code of the Town of St. Joseph by deleting and repealing existing Chapter 149, regarding Roads, Drive-ways, Trails, Erosion and Sediment Control and Right of Way Construction within the Town, and replacing that chapter with a new Chapter 149.

The purpose of this ordinance is to create an orderly and convenient multi-modal transportation system, to ensure quality construction, inspection and maintenance of public transportation infrastructure; to minimize negative impacts of traffic, to provide safe, affordable public access and efficient public roads and to adhere as closely as possible to the provisions of the Town Comprehensive Plan as it relates to roads, driveways and trails.
