Discover the best of the Hudson area during the Spring Showcase at the Hudson Sports & Civic Center, 1820 Hanley Road, Sunday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, is free and open to the public.

The showcase features children’s activities, family entertainment and activities geared to showcase products and services available in the Hudson area.

“The Hudson Chamber of Commerce wants to raise awareness that services and products found in the greater metropolitan area are often conveniently available in the local community,” said Dana Glade of County Market, chair for the Showcase planning committee.

The Chamber will also sponsor a raffle with many prizes including a 32-inch flat-screen TV, gas grill donated by Hudson Home Depot with a Grilling Package donated by RJ Meat’s of Hudson, and a one-year membership and training sessions donated by Ultimate Fitness.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10 and are available at the Chamber office and at the Showcase. The drawing will be held at the end of the day, and winners need not be present. Many business booths will also be drawing for door prizes throughout the day.

Main stage entertainment includes Magical Paul, the Minnesota Raptor Center, Hudson High School Swing Choir, musical entertainment, and Heirloom Tomatoes with My Sister’s Garden.

Children’s activity stations include a self-face painting, coloring contest for kids, paint a flower pot, and puppet show by Hudson library.
