Delores “Dory” Benoy, 93, of Clam Falls, Wis., formerly of Hudson, Wis., died on Tuesday, March 17, at Hudson Hospital.

Delores was born in Hudson on Sept. 22, 1915, the daughter of Samuel and Rosella (Murphy) Rose. As a girl, Delores attended school in Hudson. She was married to Alton “Bill” Benoy on Aug. 7, 1937. Their union in marriage was blessed with six sons.

Dory’s life revolved around her family, as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was always filled with the aroma of baked goods for the constant stream of visitors that came to chat around her table.

She spent many hours at the sewing machine and found great joy in sharing her homemade quilts with family and friends. Dory loved flowers; lilacs were her favorite. Her home was always a welcome place. Her generosity and good nature will be missed by all those who knew her.

Dory will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Alton; daughter-in-law, Jean (wife of Tom); and grandson, Brian (son of Bob).
