A variety of activities are planned for the tour, which will include Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, 2008 Pro Bowl selection safety Nick Collins, wide receiver Jordy Nelson and linebacker Brady Poppinga.
Hudson is one of four cities on the tour; other stops on the May 11-14 event are Marshfield, Platteville and Beaver Dam.
Packer officials said the tours are conducted statewide to thank fans in person for their passionate support of the club through the years.
The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the logo “Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour” and the phrase “Touching Down in Your Community.”
In addition to the planned stops, surprise stops will be made as the schedule allows.
Culminating the day’s activities during the tour will be an evening tailgate party in each city from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with a flavor of famous Lambeau Field tailgating, hosted by a local non-profit organization – locally it’s the Hudson Boosters. The parties will feature food and mingling with Packers representatives. At each tailgate party, footballs autographed by each tour member will be given away as door prizes.
Tickets for the Hudson event are already sold out, but there will also be activities available for non-ticket holders. Ticket sales were limited to 650 tickets and sold out the first day they were offered for sale, March 16. All of the proceeds will benefit the hosting organization, the Hudson Boosters.
In Hudson, most of the activities will take place at Lakefront Park, and non-ticket holders will also have an opportunity to hear and see some of the festivities.
Booster representative John Herink said the Hudson schedule will be:

Merchant events
Several local merchants are also putting together a five-day promotion called “Hudson Huddle” leading up to the May 12 event. Beginning Thursday, May 7, the local merchants will be offering activities, prizes and more.
The Downtown Retail Committee of the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with the Hudson Boosters and the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau to expand the football theme.
The Hudson Huddle will kick off with the quarterly Girls Nite Out called “Spring Fling at the Hudson Huddle” on Thursday, May 7 at participating downtown Hudson businesses. Activities will continue with some stores hosting football themed special events on Saturday, May 9 and more activities will be held on Tuesday, May 12 in Lakefront Park.
The main focus of the Hudson Huddle is registration for a trip to Green Bay. Local businesses will host registrations for the prize which includes two tickets to the Packers vs Vikings game in Green Bay, lodging, Bart Starr Tailgate Party and tickets to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and Lambeau Field Stadium Tour.
“Many Hudson businesses will be registration stops and there’s a lot of excitement about the football event” said committee members Karin Erickson from House Calls Fine Interiors and Renell Pagel from St. Croix Marina.
In addition to Hudson Boosters’ activities on May 12, the Hudson Huddle is hosting a Tailgating Challenge, chalk art fest and other community participation events.
