A tea party at Mudds & Sudds in North Hudson Wednesday, April 15 drew a large crowd, many of whom held signs and placards outside the building from 4-6 p.m. Organizers Stan and Mary Wekkin had a rally inside the business at 5 p.m.

The event was part of the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party. Timed to coincide with the tax filing deadline, the Tax Day Tea Party effort is a non-partisan, grassroots movement that takes its name from the famous Boston Tea Party of 1773.

"We offered a local venue for people, Stan Wekkin said. "Many people are very upset - fiscal responsibility in non-existent in Washington D.C. and in Madison."
