Brain researcher talks education
Dr. Steven J. Hughes, a researcher and pediatric neuropsychologist at the University of Minnesota, is presenting “The Curious and Creative Child: How Can We Build Better Brains?” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at The Phipps Center for the Arts, 109 Locust St.

Hughes will illustrate how a brain-based approach to education provides a foundation for the development of academic, social and decision-making skills.
His free appearance is sponsored by Heartland Montessori School in River Falls and Hudson. Hughes is a proponent of Montessori education.
